Nine Days On The Business

See, I've never done a proper photo essay, with a theme and such. I've based the galleries on places that I've visited, or the odd weekend etc.

I thought I'd change that.

For The Business, I went on a little round trip recently. UK -> Spain -> Germany - UK, that is. Taking the camera is a no-brainer, so I thought I'd try it. It all sounds glorious to go to Spain for a week, but after all, it's for work. Also, it takes a bit of getting used to, getting off the plane to be greeted by a taxi driver while everyone around you is shoving the kids into a bus/ being hugged by family members. Hotels, in general, are awesome (smoking in bed/ bathtub/ while on the loo etc) but here again, it's soulless business travel.

This isn't whingeing, I love what I'm doing.

Geekmode: I shot solely on Ilford XP2. I wanted to try how these bastards look like, also I've only got high-sharpness developer around and wanted to use 400 ASA. That would have ended in grain madness. I got them back, cheap-lab scanned (Max Spielmann in Mancs) and they. Look. Bloody. Brilliant.

Take a look!

You can also go back home if you fancy.

And yes, I wrote the time down after each shot. I am THAT german. Times are local times. Deemed using UTC was too geeky, even for me.

Nap done, out for food. This hotel is like Dr. Evi's Residence. Perfect excuse to decorate exactly the same room exactly the same way. It's regularly frequented by youth national golf teams and such. Smug.

Ossenberg, Germany.

Thats where I fled from. It looks more braggish than it is. We only lived on the top floors, it was in the middle of nowhere (which, in Germany, means nobody wants to live there) and it's in between a kindergarden, a church and a massive factory.
